Club Activities

Adopt-A-Highway:

As part of our service project we have applied for the last two miles of Route # 23 in Ohio going North. Our responsibilities include litter pick-up four times a year. It seems appropriate to have this area since we are "The Defenders of the Northern Border". Howard Tiefke is our coordinator and is expecting you to help. Don't be shy, contact Howard for more details.

Saturday, May 15, 2010 was our First Highway Clean-Up this year. We have November 6, 2010 scheduled as our next and last highway clean up of the year.

We meet at 8:30 a.m. in Tony Packo's parking lot on Monroe Street in Sylvania, Ohio and begin cleaning up at 9:00 a.m. This is a great service project and you only need to be 18 years of age to help. We meet at Tony Packo's afterward for lunch.

Fall Football Trip:

At this time we do not have a Fall Bus Trip Scheduled for 2010.

Student Send-Off:

Students who are from Lucas County and are entering Freshmen at OSU this year will have a "send-off" at Marilyn Jensen's home on Wednesday, August 25, 2010. Several current board members will be there to help network with the students and their parents. It is a wonderful time to meet and greet such promising young people. We promote The Ohio State University traditions throughout the evening and answer many questions that parents and students have.
